About the series

This art series was started in May 2020 on Instagram by Blanca Schofield Legorburo in order to tackle nude shaming, the eternal presence of the male gaze and to encourage an appreciation of the natural beauty in the world around us.

Since then, women from across the globe have been trusting Blanca with their stories and modelling for her. She paints using watercolour and gouache, representing these women in varied colours alongside their favourite flowers. Thoughts and reflections from the models are added in the captions on @evetakinganude, giving a voice to the traditionally silenced female nude.

Eve Taking A Nude paintings have appeared on platforms such as Art Leove, Portraits of a Pandemic and Notes from Quarantine. Blanca is also interested in art for charity movements and donates proceeds from the series to charities such as Samaritans and The Black Curriculum. Feel free to suggest a charity in the "Add A Note" section at checkout or using the form on the Contact page.
